Just what did you expect?

Some recent history
To be everything that a clown can be.

To be everything that a clown can be.

A Pup Laid Out In the Sun -the Luni Troupe
A Pup laid out in the Sun
Howls at the Moon ... he’s sleeping
He’ll dream this again, and again
When the Summer grows cold, he’ll be with him, he knows.
With his Master, in the Autumn
He’ll be waiting, in the moonlight,
For their fun in the Cinder Sun.
They’ll be wandering, and the Winter will come
They’ll be warm, in the dream of Springtime
The hope of two
Like morning and dew
Pup opens like a flower
This sensual sexual hour
The Pup receives his Master’s power
Pup’s soul gives such pleasure
To his Master, who fills its measure
Taking firm hold of his Pup.
Pup laid out in the Sun
Dreams that his Master has come
A dream both shared and remembered.
Instrumental
coda
The Moon dreams of Springtime and Pup in the Sun
The Pup dreams of his Master and howls at the Moon
The Sun dreams of the Master in Autumn and fun
The Master dreams of his Puppy and coming home soon

Am I an Alien? - The Luni Troupe
Here I stand, here I go
I can’t tell any more
Where I am, or what to know
I can see with my eyes
So it seems, I’m a clown
On the show, on the show, on the show
Round is round, round and round and round.
Out or in, or in or out or in.
Nowhere once, Once again.
Altogether, we’re all apart.
Some-thing lives in my heart.
Please believe me, my old friend,
I might be an alien.
Is it true, obvious,
Most uncertain, who is us?
Ash to ash, dust to dust,
In the stars, dawn to dusk.
Am I one? One of us?
Could it be? I might be,
An alien, alien. An alien, alien.
O.K.

Clown-Town - the Luni Troupe
Come on all ye kindred sons of clowns, we're building Clown-town.
(All you pals of clowns we need you too), down in Clown-town.
We'll bear the revolutionary torch in Clown-town,
As we oppose the tyrant's rule, we'll still clown around.
Come on all ye kindred sons of clowns, we're building Clown–town.
A clown can still keep hopes eternal flame, in Clown-town.
Alive and well and burning deep within, in Clown-town.
Together kindred clowns we shall attain, in Clown-town.
Utopia while playing pranks and games.
And no oppressor will be able to enslave us anymore.
We'll don our clown regalia and engage...in horse-play.
We will throw down every unjust boss... and win the day.
Every clown in every town, marching arm in arm.
Belly laughs and revolution, freedom's clowny storm.
Listen all ye kindred sons of clowns,
“Where we going Bob?”...“Well, You're building Clown-town” ... “Who, me?” … “Clown-town”
We'll call the Barkers and the midgets, and the monkeys too.. Hey hey, we're the Monkees.
The elephants and horseys will join us, because they know that we are right and true. Whoa, whoa, whoa, Why sit around and pick your bum, come join this clown parade.
Yuk it up now honk your horns we need you in the fray.
Listen all ye kindred sons of clowns, we're building Clown-town....Now the “Clown-Credo”:
Clowns can still keep hopes eternal flame, in Clown-town.
Alive-a and a-well-a and a-burn-a-ing-a deep-a with-a in-a, in Clown-town.
Together kindred clowns we shall attain, in Clown-town.
Utopia while playing pranks and games.
And no oppressor will be able to enslave us anymore.
So come on son's and brother's of all clowns, we need you in the coming kooky fray.
For the eternal right to yuk it up, and everything a clowny clown stands for.
Well, well, well, Gather up your whistles and bells, your horns and clowny shoes.
When together we will cease these cosmic clowny blues.
Listen all ye kindred sons of clowns, We're building Clown-town,
We're building Clown-town, we're building Clown–town.

Everyone The Luni Troupe
Everyone, Everyone, you’re down and out on Sunday,
Hoping for a perfect kind of someday,
That never comes, but maybe, maybe one day,
You’ll find the time,
To cross that line,
To your own heart,
Where you wana be.
You are.
Right where you really are,
Right where you are.
You only find the love you can believe in
You get the love you will receive, and
I’ll never send you away.
No-matter where you go,
Or believe you need to be.
Everyone, the love you can believe in.
Everyone, now you I do believe in.
Everyone, find the time to be in.
Everyone, the place you need to be in.
Cross the line, to your own heart,
Right where you really are.
Everyone, the love you can believe in.
Everyone, now you I do believe in.
Everyone, find the time to be in.
Everyone the place you need to be in.
Cross the line, to your own heart,
Right where you really are.
Right where you really are.
Right where you really are.
Right where you are.
Everyone.

Game Worth a Candle the Luni Troupe
There are fools and there are fools,
some are wise and some are dull.
There are neat guys and neat gals,
they’re neat just because they’re swell.
There are dreaming star eyed types,
that just love the mystical.
All in all, that’s what makes the game worth a candle, all in all.
That’s what makes the game worth a candle, ahh.
I once dreamed I was the king of every thing I saw.
But one day while in the woods I wrestled a magic bear.
That mystic bear won fair and square, that’s when I realized,
Life is funny, kind of funny, a little bit strange,
Well that’s what makes the game worth a candle, ahh.
On a rainy day, just let that rain
drain all your cares away.
When you read your runes that spell out doom,
as the hounds all moan and bay,
This can be found, make a joyous sound.
Let the chips fall where they may.
All in all, that’s what makes the game worth a candle, all in all.
That’s what makes the game worth a candle, ahh.
Once I took a trip to the moon with Mr. Mescalito,
In his jesters hat and coyote mask, he sure looked cool and neato.
He ask for a sign at a hair past nine, as I touched down incognito.
Life is funny, kind of funny, a little bit strange,
That’s what makes the game worth a candle, ahh.
Life is funny, kind of funny, a little bit strange,
That’s what makes the game worth a candle, Om.

Heave Ho Children Let Go

Heave Ho (Children Let Go)
The Luni Troupe
My name is Rick Soderberg, I have a story,
a tragedy I witnessed one summer day.
It was August the Second of 'Seventy-Eight.
Let me tell you about it, in my simple way.
I was workin', ya see, as a room service waiter,
at a splendid hotel, from Two until Ten.
Takin' mighty fine meals to the rooms where the guests stayed.
Makin' mighty fine tips, at that night I'd go spend. ...(“Serve 'em up, Bar-tender”)
Well there was an odd fellow who stayed at the hotel,
with family, and sometimes he'd stay there for weeks.
And each night they'd order up steak from the kitchen,
and they all lived like royalty in that big suite.
He was big as an ox, and he wore a fine three piece,
big pony-tail, pricey cowboy boots.
And he told me his name was Emanuel David,
and sometimes we'd talk about spiritual books.
It was August the Second of Seventy-Eight.
I was walkin' to work, not a block from the job.
And I noticed that somethin' was causin' commotion,
'cause surrounding the hotel was a throng of a mob.
So I looks up to see what the hell was a stirrin'
and finally I spots up there, just where it was.
Up there on the Eighth floor on the balcony, I saw
Emanuel David's wife tellin' her son... She cried...
“Heave Ho, children let go, it's curtains for me and for thee,
Heave Ho, children let go, meet daddy in eternity”.
I stood there in shock as my mouth became bone dry.
It's all I could do, not to break down and weep.
'Cause the wife of that big ox, Emanuel David,
Threw all of her children off, and then she leaped.
Well it came out next day in the Deserted News
Emanuel David was the King of the Cult.
And from Manti he'd come with his worshipers tithing.
I suppose those believers all got a quite a jolt.
Ya see, he seemed to believe he was this only one true prophet.
His followers thought he was one step from God.
And he made damn sure they all lived a sheltered existence,
but he gassed himself one night, and died like a slob.
His wife found out next day, Emanuel David,
had given the ghost up by cheap suicide.
And she just couldn't stand it, and so she decided
the very best thing would be if she just died.
She also expected the kids had to die too.
They looked up to their Pa, as the “all-in-all”.
But I surely do swear, they were fighting for dear life,
But Mama would not let the kiddies hang on… no no no no, She cried...
“Heave Ho, children let go, it's curtains for me and for thee,
Heave Ho, children let go, meet daddy in eternity”.
There was Mama and Joseph and Rachel and Deborah,
Jo-Shannon and Dushane, Rebbecca and all.
There was one brave young girl there, Elisabeth David,
who lived, and is Big in the Cult now, I'm told.
It came out weeks later, Emanuel David
was just worried sick about all the money he'd blown.
And the guilt that he felt, in the face of religion,
pushed him over the edge. Where he's gone, I don't know.
Emanuel David, Emanuel David,
A prophet, an idol, with feet made of clay.
Emanuel David, Emanuel David,
What did you think? When you heard you wife say... She cried...
“Heave Ho, children let go, it's curtains for me and for thee,
Heave Ho, children let go, meet daddy in eternity”.
I've told you the story, it leaves me quite cold.
Ain't it true, that this world is as strange as can be.
And if you should e'er think of deceiving somebody,
Remember Emanuel David for me.

Lonely Only on Beta-Nine The Luni Troupe
Can’t you hear me calling.
The silence is appalling.
All alone…on Beta-Nine.
Almost out of range and wine.
Not one sign of any kind of life,
but mine… my oh my.
Maybe I should try again,
Terra-forming is such a drag.
Gotta find a way to fend,
Off this lonely dread I feel within.
I’m the lonely only,
I’m the lonely only.
Everyday I’m waiting,
Every hope is fading.
Alone, alone, alone.
I’m not going home, I’m not going home,
Oh no, I know. I’m the lonely only,
the only lonely only… On Beta-nine.
Maybe I should try again,
Terra-forming is such a drag.
Gotta find a way to fend,
Off this dread I feel within.
I’m the lonely only, I’m the lonely only.
Lonely, lonely on Beta-nine, lonely, lonely on Beta-nine.
Lonely Only on Beta-nine.

Monkey Washing Kitty Cat

Monkey Washing Kitty-Cat -the Luni Troupe
What's the deal with Monkeys? What's the deal with Clowns? It is my fervent belief that myrth is a real spiritual energy, and Clowns symbolize the spiritual energy of myrth. Monkeys are our distant cousins, they are bi-peds, and Monkeys are funny. It's as simple as that . You put a Monkey and a Clown together and you've got mayhem. You've got, a, the kind of mayhem that can wake a person up, from spiritual death. They can be born-again, they can be shaken by a Clown. They can go honk-honk to his nose, the Monkey can come by “eeee-eeee-eeee-eeee”, and just that alone can put you into “Nirvana.”
I was watching David Letterman, when I saw this nutty sight,
A monkey washing a Kitty-Cat, with obvious delight.
It made me think of paradise, it got me through the night.
Monkey washing a Kitty-Cat, with all his monkey might.
Monkey washing the Kitty-Cat, the Kitty-Cat, the Kitty-Cat, the Kitty-Cat,
Monkey washing the Kitty-Cat, Oooh-ooooh-ooooh, meow-ow
Until he's squeaky clean, the Kitty's squeaky clean, Oooh-ooooh, meow-ow Oooh-ooooh, meow-ow.
Such a helpful monkey, such a dirty cat. Put two and two together, and it's obvious asheck.
When a monkey and a kitty meet, together in a kitchen sink.
It all adds up to sudsy fun, I got to have a drink, Let's go and get a drink.
Monkey washing Kitty-Cat, reeee-er – reeee-er, Oooh-ooooh-ooooh.
Monkey washing the little teeny Kitty-Cat, Oooh-ooooh-ooooh- ooooh.
Until he's squeaky clean, the Kitty's squeaky clean, and the monkey feels better about himself now Squeaky-Kitty-Clean. Oooh-ooooh, meow-ow, Oooh-ooooh, reeee-er – reeee-er.
Oooh-ooooh-ooooh- ooooh, reeee-er – reeee-er...
Oooh-ooooh-ooooh- ooooh, reeee-er – reeee-er...
reeee-er – reeee-er.

Royal Fool The Luni Troupe
I’ve got so much not to say,
I send them reeling.
I’d be like a dancing bear,
Curious fun.
When the courtiers point and stare,
I send them spinning.
By the way I stir their airs,
Serious-silly.
And my purpose is quite clear…
So much not to say…
In so many words.
The royal fool, the royal fool,
I bring the king the royal mirror,
The royal fool, the royal fool,
I tell the pompous to beware.
You can find true wisdom with a mirror.
You can find true wisdom with a mirror.
with a mirror.

The royal fool, the royal fool,
I bring the king the royal mirror,
The royal fool, the royal fool,
I tell the pompous to beware.

The past cannot be changed, it cannot be erased, it can only be forgotten. Let us not forget that the government can and will violate the Constitution, with the support of the Supreme Court. Let us not forget that those who are sworn to protect the rights of all Americans can and will break their oaths to engage in unforgivable acts of racism. Let us not forget that among the casualties of war are decency, loyalty and integrity. Let us not forget Topaz.

Now I stand in new dawn drinking,
And I live the life I love.
The love I lives’ the way I’m dreaming,
And I love the life I live.
I have not graced your sweet night sleeping,
Long before the Idol is shattered,
By my faithless calling on the
Seamless starlit night of wandering.
I live the life I love,
And I love the life I live.
Who is out there, in the dawn,
In the garden, “in the way”, in the land?
His name is Xaeon, working,
